Easy, cheesy, tomatoey pasta? Yes please! Try this social media inspired, easy pasta dish and before you can say “TikTok” the serving bowl is empty!

Before I go any further I have an admission. I don’t have TikTok and probably never will. I’m in my 50s and it just seemed that if I did, it would be weird. I actually didn’t even know that anyone was cooking on TikTok. I first saw this recipe on Instagram, then suddenly I saw a lot of recipes on Instagram for this same exact recipe. …

Chances are that you have never heard of Corn Relish. Corn relish is a traditional Southern condiment including the use of cooked corn kernels and is spiced with red and green bell peppers, mustard seed, and equal parts sugar and cider vinegar. There are various types of recipes for Corn Relish and may vary from region to region. I saw one recipe with flour put in it as a thickening agent. I am not doing that here as for me that would be ruining it.

Often Corn Relish is used at the table as a garnish or side dish to…

Jelly Doughnut Bundt Cake ~it’s jelly doughnut meets bundt cake. A match made in heaven or your own kitchen!

An old friend posted a photo of a cake on her Facebook page a few months back. It stopped me in my tracks. It was a glazed vanilla bundt cake, with an interior of jam filling. I was captivated. Looking at that cake, I knew I had to have it. I’ve always loved jelly doughnuts, and this had everything I wanted in a cake—a fluffy yellow cake with a filling of red raspberry jam in the middle.

Looking up the many…

Cured cooked pork, Tocino is good for breakfast lunch or dinner! Fusion Taco Recipe included with steps on how to make Tocino for you and your family.

Tocino means “bacon” in Spanish, and in the Philippines, Tocino refers to sweetened and cured pork belly. Tocino is often cured with a sugar water solution, and is sometimes marinated with pineapple juice. It is red in appearance not unlike Chinese barbequed pork.

Tocino is often served as the popular breakfast or lunchtime combination with a garlic fried rice and an egg (sunny side up). I’ve served Tocino with plain white or sushi…

Enjoy these Concha Pan Dulce with Hot Chocolate or some Café Con Leche! Just the thing to start the day!

Of the various Mexican sweet breads, Conchas (shells) are known for their shell-like shape and the distinct shortbread like shell pattern on the top. Although the classic shape is shell-like, it can also be shaped as cross hatch or anything that strikes the baker’s fancy. Classic colors are chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or cinnamon, but I have seen such flavors as mochi (green tea) and unicorn (I hazard to guess what flavor that is.) This is one of the most famous…

Panna Cotta sounds like something that you can only eat in a restraunt. If you knew how easy it is to make, you would be making this at home tonight!

Panna Cotta is not as well known in the united states as it should be. An easy to make dessert that is both light and satisfying it should be a staple of all kitchens. If you are not familiar with Panna Cotta it is a dessert that traditionally includes heavy cream, sugar, gelatin and sometimes rum, or marsala.

Panna cotta looks like a custard or flan but it’s neither. You…

Strawberry Charlotte is a easy to make dessert that just looks hard. Give it a try and you can present your guests with an elegant and delicious dessert!

Charlotte russe. A French dessert (supposedly created by Marie-Antonin Careme) made in mold with ladyfingers and Bavarian cream…While this confection is known and made in the United States, a simple version consisting of a square of sponge cake topped with whipped cream (sometimes with chocolate sprinkles) and a maraschino cherry was also called a “charlotte russe,” a variation of which appeared in Lafcadio Hearn’s La Cuisine Creole (1885). This was a standard…

Make Lengua for your family and tacos cannot be far behind. Just don’t tell them what it is (until later). With Additional Summer-y Salsa Verde Recipe!

“‘What makes a taco perfect?’ “Beautiful question,” Felix said. “It’s a taco that tastes as good as the idea of a taco itself. A taco that’ll hold steadfast through memory’s attempt to erase it, a taco that’ll be worthy of the nostalgia that it will cause. A taco that won’t satisfy or fill but will satiate your hunger. Not just for tonight but for tacos in general, for food, for life-it-fucking-self, brother. You will feel full to your soul “But!” he added, a callused index finger pointed straight up at the sky. “It’s also a taco that will make you…

What Babka wants, Babka gets. Let this sunny cake shine some light into your world!

I was recently asked to find a recipe for a cooking contest a friend is hosting online. Normally there is a theme to this contest. In December we were all given the task of completing a Buche de noel or Yule Log Cake. This was possibly one of the hardest things I’ve ever done-baking wise. I was relieved to find out that we had more leeway with the newest contest and were given a general theme and could do whatever we wanted. Looking at various…
