I have two podcasts, and one of the things I have to repeatedly tell interviewees and the public is that I'm not a journalist and often or more than often Podcasts do not equal journalism. In my class about Podcasting that I offer through the public Library I have a portion where I teach the difference between podcasting and actual journalism. A Podcast can be a journalistic podccast or it can be a podcast, but it's cannot be both. It's important to disclose that to the listening audiance and I believe there should be disclosure laws on podcasts that offer sensationalist topics. Unfortunately most people don't know the difference and this is important to note.
