I've watched so many people self publish and it's really hard. Writing a book is just half the battle and if you are self published you have a huge up hill battle. I've seen so many publish and wait for the book to sell, literally doing nothing to promote it and relying on friends and family to do all the heavy lifting, those odds are not going to cut it. I've seen so many who have no idea how anything in publishing works just self publishg and think that the book will sell itself, it's sad to see.
