When I was younger in the 90's I tried to connect with my celtic roots, my Briton roots, and when I talked to people who are from these countries..I was and always will be an American..and won't ever be accepted as being from these countries because I'm from America. That's not to say you can't revere these gods and study the culture..but we have made ourselves (White people I mean) something other and that should be explored. I don't have any answers but I do think that this idea should be explored. The fallout of the Genocide, the Colonization, the Oppression and Marginalization of others will follow us, will follow our descendents forever in the same way it effects others. For me right now, the best way to work with this is to listen to the pain, the anger and fustration of other people who are not white. Try and personally grow and know that while others deal with shit that's not fair and that they did not create, we whites will too have to deal with these things. Like with Magic. when you engage in negative spells..you cannot divorce youreself from the effects of this spell..you can run..you can hide..but there will always be a connection..with this too..we will always be connected to the effects that Imerialism and Colonialism has wrought. It's best to accept it and get help with dealing wiht it, because it's not going to dissapear or be less painful.
